Pakistani actress and television personality Mishi Khan has raised her voice for a young woman identified as Fiza, urging authorities and welfare organisations to intervene after disturbing videos alleging prolonged physical abuse surfaced online under the hashtag #JusticeForFiza.
Taking to her Instagram account, Mishi Khan shared a heartfelt video highlighting Fiza's alleged ordeal while appealing to NGOs and humanitarian organisations in Karachi to provide immediate assistance.
In the video, Mishi said that Fiza has allegedly been subjected to repeated physical violence by her mother, resulting in multiple injuries and hospital visits.
"Her name is Fiza and she lives in Karachi. She is crying out for help. She has allegedly been brutally assaulted several times, suffering injuries including a split lip and wounds to her forehead. From what I have learned, her mother is mentally unstable, and Fiza's life could be in danger. I request organizations like Edhi and other NGOs to please step forward and help her. Raising our voices and helping someone in such a situation is our collective responsibility," she said.
Mishi's appeal came after videos shared by a social media page titled "Stand by Fiza" began circulating online. In one emotional clip, Fiza claimed she had endured years of alleged emotional and physical abuse inside her home.
Holding back tears, she alleged that she had remained silent for years and said she no longer felt safe. Fiza further claimed that despite previously contacting the police over alleged physical violence, no effective action was taken. She also appealed to the public to keep raising their voices, adding that if she suddenly stopped responding online, it could mean her phone had been taken away or she had allegedly been assaulted again.
Another widely circulated clip appearing on social media allegedly shows a woman (her mother) physically assaulting Fiza, prompting widespread concern and calls for authorities to verify the incident and ensure her safety.
The videos have triggered an outpouring of support across social media, with #JusticeForFiza gaining momentum as users urge law enforcement agencies, child and women protection authorities, and welfare organizations to investigate the allegations and provide immediate protection if needed. Many have echoed Mishi Khan's call for swift intervention to ensure Fiza's safety and access to legal support.
