Supreme Court judge Justice Musarrat Hilali will retire today after completing her constitutional term of office, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
According to the report, a full court reference will be held in her honour at 10:30am in Courtroom No. 1 of the Supreme Court to recognise her contribution to Pakistan's judiciary.
The farewell ceremony will be attended by senior judges, legal practitioners and members of the legal community.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Yahya Afridi, the Attorney General for Pakistan and representatives of the bar will deliver addresses during the event.
Speakers are expected to pay tribute to Justice Hilali's judicial career and acknowledge her services to the administration of justice during her tenure on the country's highest court.
The full court reference is a longstanding judicial tradition held to mark the retirement of judges and to recognise their contribution to the legal system and the rule of law.
