Motorway Police on Saturday closed M-5 Motorway from Rahim Yar Khan to Rohri for all kinds of traffic due to thick fog which engulfed the area early morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Spokesman of Motorway Police Syed Imran Ahmad said that Motorways were closed to ensure safety of public and provide secure environment to passengers travelling through Motorways.
He advised people to prefer to travel in day time from 10 am to 6 pm in fog season. He further advised drivers to use front and back lights while driving during thick fog.
He asked the people to avoid travel unnecessarily and while driving they should keep reasonable distance from front vehicle.
He said that in case of emergency people can contact with Motorway Police on Helpline 130 for any guidance and assistance.
