A District and Session Court of Rawalpindi awarded a death sentence and imposed Rs1,00,000 as fine on the son for killing his father, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.
Additional Session Judge Farhat Jabeen Rana heard the case and announced the verdict.
According to details, the accused Abdul Basit shot his father dead in Rawalpindi, and a first information report (FIR) was registered against him in R.A. Bazar Police Station, Rawalpindi, in February 2025.
Dead body found in Karachi
Rescue personnel found the dead body of a man from a house who had hanged himself with a rope in the Mooch Goth area located in Baldia.
The deceased was identified as Farhan. Police said that during the initial investigation, it was found that the man had committed suicide.
Further investigation is underway to determine the real cause behind the death.
