Israel’s continued violations of the Gaza peace agreement have drawn fresh condemnation as new strikes left at least seven Palestinians dead, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to local reports, Israeli forces carried out drone attacks and opened machine-gun fire in parts of Gaza despite the standing ceasefire arrangement.
Health officials confirmed that the casualties included a 70-year-old woman and her 25-year-old son, both killed when their residential area came under attack.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the death toll since the ceasefire came into effect has now reached 367, attributing the fatalities to repeated Israeli assaults that it says undermine the fragile truce.
Medical teams in Gaza report that many of the recent victims were targeted in zones previously designated as de-escalation areas.
The ongoing violations have prompted strong reactions from regional mediators. Qatar and Egypt, the primary brokers of the peace agreement, issued statements expressing deep concern over Israel’s non-compliance.
Both governments stressed that the immediate deployment of the proposed Gaza Stabilisation Force is now imperative to prevent further deterioration of the humanitarian and security situation.
Diplomatic sources in both Doha and Cairo indicated that discussions with international partners are underway to accelerate the force’s deployment, though progress remains entangled in political and logistical challenges.
Meanwhile, residents in Gaza say the renewed attacks have heightened fears of a wider breakdown of the ceasefire, which many hoped would open the door to sustained relief and reconstruction.
