Sindh Culture Day being observed today with zeal, fervour

As elsewhere in the province, Sindh Culture Day is also being celebrated in Jacobabad with traditional zeal and fervour, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Several organizations are taking out rallies in the city in which the participants are wearing Sindhi clothes, Ajrak and cap and are showing love for their culture and traditions.

Similarly, in Larkana district, stalls selling Sindhi clothes, Ajrak and cap have been set up while rallies are being taken out by different organizations in different cities of the district to mark the day.

All rallies, after passing through different routes, will finally culminate at Jinnah Bagh Chowk in Larkana in the evening.

Speakers will make speeches at the chowk, while a musical night will also be held at the venue.

Celebrations are also being held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thul, Tharparkar, Mityari, Sajawal, Ghotki, Kandhkot, Daharki, Kashmore, Ubaro,

President Zardari’s message

In his message in connection with the day, President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Sindh has the distinction that after separation from Bombay Presidency, it established an identity of its own both from constitutional and cultural point of views.

“Sindh was the first province in undivided India whose assembly passed a resolution for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent,” the president said, adding that Sindhi language was ranked amongst developed languages of the country as evident by dozens of dailies, TV and radio channels in the language.
