Another showbiz couple seeks to part ways as renowned singer Sanam Marvi has filed for divorce. Her lawyer filed the petition on her behalf in a family court.
Sanam Marvi and Hamid Ali got married in 2009, and have three children. However, the complainant said that in recent years, her husband turned violent and often used to beat her.
She said she had been tolerating her husband’s behaviour so far because of the children, adding that now it is no longer possible for her to live with Hamid Ali.
Sanam Marvi is a very popular folk and Sufi singer of Sindh.
