Punjab cabinet approves Pak Army, Rangers deployment for PSL-7 matches

Punjab cabinet Monday approved Pakistan Army and Rangers deployment for the security of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Phase-II matches that will be played in metropolis Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The troops’ deployment has been approved to maintain law and order and to avoid any untoward incident amid the PSL7 matches.

Phase-II of the PSL will be kicked off on Feb 10 where Multan Sultan and Peshawar Zalmi will play the fixture at 7:30pm at International Qaddafi Cricket Stadium.

Moreover, the city traffic police have issued a traffic advisory plan for the next phase of PSL matches to begin in Lahore from Feb 10 during which 19 matches will be played.

A total of 11 DSPs and 90 inspectors and over 700 wardens will be stationed along cricket team routes and alternate routes.

Lahore traffic police also conducted a rehearsal for the security of the PSL matches.
