Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Shabbir Ahmad Khan was arrested on Friday after an FIR was lodged against him considered to be first under Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) in Mansehra, 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, addressing a gathering on February 5, 2025 in connection with “Kashmir Day”, the JI district leader used abusive language against the State and other institutions,
The JI leader will be produced before an anti-terrorism court in Abbottabad.
It is necessary to mention here that this is the first case filed under PECA Act in Abbottabad.
After registration of the case, the accused was handed over to police on a three-day physical remand.
