Lahore High Court has ordered steps to activate Water Authority, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
During hearing of the case related to smog prevention, Justice Shahid Karim also ordered local government to set up sewage treatment plants across the province.
Moreover, court ordered Punjab Chief Secretary to launch awareness campaign to prevent water wastage and heavy fines should be imposed on those who waste water.
The court also ordered complete ban on washing cars at homes.
