Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi visited Gaddafi Stadium early Friday morning soon after his return from China to review the preparations for the inaugural ceremony of the newly-constructed stadium by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate the new Gaddafi Stadium today and entry into the stadium on this occasion will be free for general public.
During the spectacular inauguration ceremony renowned singers Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar and Aima Baig will entertain the audience while fireworks and lights show will also be on display.
Mohsin Naqvi directed to take all necessary measures to make the inaugural ceremony more attractive. He said that the event must be as per standards of newly-constructed Gaddafi Stadium.
He lauded work of entire team which participated in completion of Gaddafi Stadium in record time. He said that Gaddafi Stadium is a beautiful cricket stadium with international standards.
Cricket fans and players will avail latest and state-of-the-art facilities at the stadium. He thanked workers, FWO, NESPAK, contractors and PCB staff for completing the project timely. A luncheon in honour of about 1,000 workers will be held today.
Fans can look forward to a series of colourful events, including live singing, stunning fireworks and a unique light show.
Under the leadership of Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the PCB has transformed the stadium into a modern cricketing venue in a record 117 days. The stadium now features brighter LED lights, two new larger score screens and comfortable imported seating in all enclosures, ensuring an unparalleled viewing experience for fans.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has personally overseen the reconstruction process, making frequent day and night visits to monitor progress. His dedication has resulted in world-class facilities, including newly-built hospitality boxes and upgraded amenities for both players and spectators.
