One man was killed and his younger brother critically injured after motorcycle-riding robbers opened fire during a snatching attempt near Kashti Bridge in Nowshera on Saturday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to police, the assailants attempted to rob the two brothers, and when they resisted, the suspects fired at them before fleeing the scene.
Murad Ali died on the spot, while his brother Shahzad sustained serious injuries.
Both the deceased and the injured were shifted to Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex, officials said.
Due to his critical condition, Shahzad was later referred to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital for advanced treatment.
Police have launched a search operation to trace the dacoits, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
