Lahore police have saved the District and Sessions Court in the city from a major tragedy as they arrested on Thursday a hitman with a pump-action gun and four bullets when he was trying to enter the court premises, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the preliminary investigation, the accused, a hired assassin, Zewar Khan, was entering the Sessions Court with a woman while hiding a pump-action gun and four cartridges under his shawl, the TV channel reported.
The accused hitman was shifted to Islampura Police Station for further interrogation.
Sessions Court Security In-charge Mubashir Awan said Zewar Khan is a rent-a-killer.
