Appointing faculty members to non-teaching administrative positions in Sindh universities has been banned, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
In this regard, it has been directed to immediately end additional charges, look-after and OPS appointments on the orders of the Sindh High Court.
According to court directions, no PhD or faculty member should be appointed to Registrar or other administrative positions.
As per the court orders it has been directed to immediately start the process of appointment to permanent administrative positions in universities.
Completion of appointment of registrars, controllers and deans within two months has been directed.
Strict action will be taken against vice-chancellors for violating court orders.
