Appointment of Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) has been delayed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to report, HEC Chairman’s post is vacant since July 30, 2025 and Education Secretary Nadeem Mehboob holds the post of acting HEC Chairman.
Three names were shortlisted out of more than 750 candidates for the HEC Chairman’s seat and were sent to Prime Minister’s Office for approval but HEC Chairman’s appointment has not yet been approved.
