After nearly two decades of waiting, a couple from India’s Haryana state has welcomed a baby boy following the birth of ten daughters, a story that has touched hearts and gone viral on social media.
According to Indian media, the 37-year-old mother, who has been married to 38-year-old Sanjay Kumar since 2007, gave birth to a son after 19 years of marriage, marked by the arrival of ten daughters.
Sanjay Kumar told the media that both he and his daughters had long wished for a brother, adding that “God has finally blessed us with a son.”
He shared that his eldest daughter is a 12th-grade student, while most of the remaining daughters are currently attending school.
However, the family drew widespread attention online when Sanjay Kumar momentarily struggled to recall the names of all his daughters during a media interaction.
Despite the viral moment, he emphasized his commitment to his children’s future, stating that he is determined to provide education to all his daughters.
Meanwhile, the doctor who conducted the delivery revealed that the childbirth was extremely risky, but thankfully, both the mother and newborn are now safe and healthy.
