The newly elected president of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Syed Mohsin Gilani, will formally assume charge next week, sources confirmed on Monday.

This transition marks the end of the FIFA-appointed Normalisation Committee, whose extended mandate will officially expire on July 31.

Following FIFA's directive, the committee is expected to hand over administrative control of the federation to the elected leadership in the coming days.

Sources within the federation revealed that as soon as Gilani takes charge, appointments to key positions—including that of the General Secretary and other executive roles—will be made.

The formation of the new PFF setup is expected to be completed within the current month.

This development came after a prolonged period during which the affairs of Pakistani football were being managed by the FIFA Normalisation Committee, established to oversee elections and restore order within the federation amid internal conflicts and political interference.
