Advocate Supreme Court (SC) Ishtiaq Ahmad has become a member of the judicial commission of Pakistan (JCP) for a period of two years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In this connection, the JCP issued a notification on Tuesday.
The Islamabad Bar Council had nominated Ahmad for the position.
The JCP is currently led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, while it has representation of the judiciary, federal government, the parliament, and the Pakistan Bar Council.
