Two children were killed and another seriously injured after a toy-like explosive device detonated in Quetta, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to police, the children had found a toy-like object outside and brought it home in the Killi Jadeed Mian Khan area of Saryab, Quetta.
The device exploded while they were playing with it, killing two children on the spot and leaving another critically injured.
The injured child was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were shifted for medico-legal formalities.
Police said the victims were between eight and 13 years of age.
Quetta police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the nature and origin of the explosive device.
