Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi today and handed over Field Marshal Asim Munir's special letter in the name of Mujtaba Khemanei to the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
Earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had said he arrived in Tehran carrying a message from Field Marshal Asim Munir for Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei concerning the current regional situation.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the remarks were carried by the Iranian news agency Tasnim on Sunday.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the letter and message he delivered to Mojtaba Khamenei related to ongoing developments in the region and the prevailing circumstances.
The statement was released by Tasnim during Naqvi's official visit to Iran, where he has been holding meetings with senior Iranian leaders as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral engagement between the neighbouring countries.
A day earlier, the federal interior minister met his Iranian counterpart, Sikandar Momeni, in Tehran.
The meeting formed part of a broader diplomatic visit aimed at enhancing cooperation and maintaining close contact between Islamabad and Tehran.
According to reports by IRNA and Tasnim news agencies, Naqvi is also scheduled to hold meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and other senior Iranian officials during his stay in Tehran.
The visit comes at a time when Pakistan is playing an important role in efforts aimed at reaching an agreement between Iran and the United States to end the ongoing war.
