In a horrific incident of infanticide, a callous person Monday shot his newborn daughter dead in Mianwali.
According to the report broadcasted by 24NewsHD TV channel, accused Shah Zeb was angry at the birth of a daughter. He fired four shots that pierced the body of the newborn.
Police reached the spot and shifted the body to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for postmortem.
District Police Officer (DPO) Ismail-ur-Rehman Kharak also reached the hospital and assured the grieving family of swift justice.
He also ordered the policemen to arrest the accused within 24 hours.
