Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan has heaped praise on his son, Abhishek Bachchan, for being a good son and a talented actor.
Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Amitabh lauded Abhishek’s acting skills, saying, "You (Abhishek) have defined the character from one film to another."
The praise comes ahead of the release of Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming film, Be Happy, whose trailer was unveiled on Monday. The film, directed by renowned choreographer and filmmaker Remo D'Souza, is a dance-drama set for a direct-to-digital release. Skipping a theatrical run, Be Happy will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 14.
Amitabh Bachchan, who has always been supportive of his son’s career, also appreciated the Be Happy trailer. When a fan posted the trailer on X, Amitabh reshared it and praised the film in a tweet.
Apart from Abhishek, the film features Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johny Lever, and Harleen Sethi in key roles.
Abhishek made his Bollywood debut in 2000 with Refugee. Although his initial films struggled at the box office, he later gained recognition with successful movies like Yuva, Dhoom, Bunty Aur Babli, Guru, and Dostana .
He has also ventured into digital content, starring in the Amazon Prime series Breathe: Into the Shadows. Beyond acting, Abhishek has a strong presence in the sports industry, owning the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the Pro Kabaddi League and co-owning the Chennaiyin FC football club in the Indian Super League.
