Indian superstar Alia Bhatt’s and actor Randeep Hooda’s one of the hit movies, Highway, has been re-released in cinemas today on Women’s Day.
The film producer Sajid Nadiadwala took to his social media handle and shared the exciting update with fans by uploading a film poster mentioning its re-release date of 7th March 2025.
He added in the caption: “This Women’s Day, embark on a Journey of Freedom & Strength! #NGEFamily celebrates the spirit of fearless women! #HighwayMovie releases in @pvrpictures on 7th March 2025! Book your tickets TODAY!”
In case the readers are not aware, Highway has won 9 nominations at the 60th Filmfare Awards, which include Best Story, Best Actress for Alia, and Best Actress Critics.
The film stars actors Alia Bhatt, Randeep Hooda, Arjun Malhotra, Durgesh Kumar, and Hemant Mahaur.
It is directed and written by acclaimed director and writer Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The film is based on a road drama revolving around a girl, Veera Tripath, who gets kidnapped during a drive with her fiancé, Vinay.
When the kidnappers realize that she comes from an influential household, they move her through different cities to avoid being caught. However, Veera discovers her freedom and realizes that she does not want to go back home.
She eventually bonds with one of her kidnappers, Mahavir, and confides in him. They slowly open up to each other and talk about their childhood traumas. They fall in love in the process.
