The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday accepted the bail petition filed by a former MPA, Mir Shaharyar Khan Shar, and his son, Jahangir Khan Shar in a murder case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A three-member bench, headed by Justice Shahid Waheed, heard the case.
Speaking during the hearing, Farooq H. Naek, counsel for the petitioners, said that the complainant was a political opponent of his clients, who, he said, were politically victimized.
Justice Waheed remarked it was surprising that the complainant did not even receive a light injury in the attack.
Justice Musarrat Hilali said that in order to understand the case, it was necessary to go through its details.
The suspects had been accused of killing one person and injuring three others during an attack on MPA Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar.
Dahar narrowly escaped death in an indiscriminate firing on the vehicle he was travelling in on March 17, 2025.
One of his bodyguards was killed and three other persons were wounded in the attack.
Jam Mehtab has accused former MPA from the area Shaheryar Shar of being behind the attack.
An FIR of the incident had been registered at tehsil Ubauro, district Ghotki.
