Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) announced to start a crackdown against unregistered food points established in the federal capital from December 1, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Earlier, the Islamabad Food Authority Director directed all unregistered food points and restaurants to get themselves registered by November 30 with the IFA.
The director further warned that after the expiry of the registration date, stern action will be taken against them from December 1, 2025.
He directed all inspectors to conduct examinations of all food points and restaurants on a daily basis.
He ordered to seal and impose heavy fines on all unregistered food points and restaurants.
More than 600 hotels and restaurants in Islamabad have been found operating without registration, according to an investigation by the Department of Tourism. The revelation shows that even several major food brands are missing from the official records.
