The district administration of Chiniot has announced the continued closure of 56 schools in flood-affected areas for an additional two days due to the prevailing flood situation.
According to an official notification, the schools will remain closed on September 8 and 9 to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The notification was formally issued by Chiniot’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Education, Zafar Iqbal Wattoo, who stated that the decision was taken after reviewing the ground realities in the flood-hit localities.
Authorities added that schools will reopen only when conditions improve and it is deemed safe for educational activities to resume.
