Dengue cases increase in Rawalpindi with 215 confirmed patients

Dengue cases increased in Rawalpindi as about 6132 patients screened during 2025 and 215 patients confirmed to have dengue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to report, 10 new patients reported in last 24 hours and a total 49 patients are under treatment in hospitals including 25 confirmed cases. However, no deaths reported from dengue in the district so far.

Checking of more than 4.6 million houses completed and larvae recovered in more than 106000 houses. More than 1.2 million places were checked, out of which 15000 were positive.

Total 121954 dengue larvae were recovered and strict action was taken against violation of SOPs. As many as 3471 FIRs were registered in Rawalpindi while 1596 places sealed and 3170 challans were issued. Rs9338507 collected as fines.

Among those reported new cases include Cantt areas, Jalala, Rehmatabad, Dhamial and Gangal in Potohar Town.
