Mohammad Nawaz's fifer, including a hat-trick, helped Pakistan to seal a commanding 75-run victory over Afghanistan in the final of the tri-nation T20I series at Sharjah on Sunday.

In reply to Pakistan's 141, Afghanistan collapsed dramatically, folding for just 66 runs in less than 13 overs.

Nine Afghan batters failed to reach double figures as Pakistan’s bowling attack dominated proceedings.

The star of the show was Mohammad Nawaz, who produced a sensational spell, claiming five wickets, including a hat-trick that left Afghanistan with no chance of recovery.

Rashid Khan was the only player to offer resistance, top-scoring with 17 runs.

Nawaz finished with outstanding figures of 5/19 in four overs, while Abrar Ahmed and Sufiyan Muqeem took two wickets each. Shaheen Afridi claimed one wicket.

Earlier, opting to bat first, Pakistan posted 141 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Despite a shaky start that saw half of the side dismissed for just 72 runs, the team recovered through valuable contributions from skipper Salman Agha, who scored 24 runs, and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz, who added a brisk 25.

Openers Saim Ayub (17) and Fakhar Zaman (27) had given Pakistan some momentum, but quick wickets left the middle order under pressure before the late fightback lifted the total to a competitive score.

For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan picked up three wickets, whereas Noor Ahmed and Fazalhaq Farooqi were equally good with two wickets each.
