Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori paid a visit to the Afghan Consulate in Karachi on Sunday, where he was warmly received by Consul General Syed Abdul Jabbar Takhari along with the diplomatic staff, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the visit, Governor Tessori expressed deep sorrow over the recent earthquake casualties in Afghanistan’s Kunar and Nangarhar provinces, conveying heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the victims and their families.
He also assured the Afghan representatives of every possible cooperation and continued support from the people and government of Sindh.
Accompanying the governor was Dr Farooq Sattar, a senior leader of the Mutahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), underscoring a united message of humanitarian concern and regional cooperation.
In a detailed discussion held at the consulate, both sides exchanged views on enhancing Pak-Afghan bilateral trade and addressed other matters of mutual interest, particularly in the realms of economic cooperation and cross-border relations.
As a mark of goodwill, Governor Tessori also signed the condolence book, recording his message of sympathy and unity with the Afghan nation in this time of grief.
