President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif, on Wednesday lauded Pakistan’s leadership for its role in helping secure the Iran-US ceasefire, describing the efforts as crucial in averting a major global crisis.
In a statement shared on social media, Sharif appreciated the “extraordinary diplomatic efforts” of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their role in de-escalation.
Nawaz Sharif also acknowledged the leadership of both the Iran and the United States for opting for peace and statesmanship, expressing hope that the ceasefire would mark a meaningful step toward long-term global stability.
