The Sindh government has announced a province-wide National Immunisation Days campaign scheduled from April 13 to 19, aiming to protect children under the age of five from polio.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, during the drive, health teams will administer polio drops along with vitamin A supplements to strengthen children’s immunity.
Officials said that more than 10 million children across the province have been targeted in this extensive campaign, reflecting the urgency of eradicating polio and safeguarding public health.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate the disease and prevent its spread.
Authorities have directed all private schools to fully cooperate with immunisation teams, ensuring that eligible children are registered and vaccinated.
School administrations have also been tasked with raising awareness about the campaign dates and facilitating smooth access for health workers.
A strict warning has been issued to institutions failing to comply with these directives. Officials stated that action could be taken against non-compliant schools, including suspension or cancellation of registration.
