Pakistan received $3.21 billion in remittances during July, the first month of the current fiscal year, maintaining the monthly average of over $3 billion, according to official data.

Despite the strong inflow, remittances saw a 7 percent decline year-on-year and a month-on-month drop of $190 million. Country-wise breakdown shows that the highest remittances came from Saudi Arabia, amounting to $820 million.

It was followed by $665 million from the UAE, $450 million from the UK, and $270 million from the United States. The sustained inflow highlights the crucial role of overseas Pakistanis in supporting the country's economy amid ongoing financial challenges.
