A special vehicle emission testing camp was set up at Mayo Hospital Lahore to inspect exhaust emissions from doctors’ vehicles and ensure compliance with environmental standards, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
The camp was organised by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lahore at the request of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Lahore office-bearers.
An EPA inspection team operated from 10 am to 4 pm, checking vehicles and issuing compliance certificates to those meeting the approved pollution control criteria.
PMA Lahore representatives, including President Prof Dr Shahid Malik, General Secretary Dr Wajid Ali, and Joint Secretary Dr Salman Kazmi, appreciated the initiative and announced plans to organise similar emission testing camps at other hospitals across the city to promote environmental health and reduce air pollution.
