Pakistani actress Nimra Khan has left fans deeply moved after opening up about the life-changing road accident that turned her world upside down.

Recalling her difficult recovery, the actress revealed that she spent four days on a ventilator, 19 days in a coma and nearly three years in a wheelchair before slowly rebuilding her life.

Taking to Instagram, Nimra shared an emotional video reflecting on the darkest period of her life and the journey that followed. Alongside the video, she wrote, “I wasn’t just fighting to heal—I was fighting to live,” giving fans a glimpse into the immense physical and emotional battle she had faced.

In her caption, Nimra described spending four days on a ventilator and 19 days in a coma, followed by years of recovery. She credited Allah, her parents and her loved ones for standing beside her and giving her strength when life felt almost impossible.

Calling the experience her “second chance at life,” Nimra said she no longer sees her scars with sadness. Instead, she considers them a reminder of Allah’s mercy and of everything she survived. Her message centred on faith, patience and the belief that a difficult chapter does not have to be the end of someone’s story.

Speaking in the video, the actress also opened up about the emotional impact of being unable to walk. She recalled how difficult it was to accept the possibility that she might never walk again and said her years in a wheelchair made her feel like a “dead person.” She also spoke about how changes in people’s behaviour around her made the period even more painful.

Nimra admitted that she went through periods of anxiety, depression, hopelessness and demotivation. Even after she started walking again and returned to acting, she said the reality behind her smile was very different. Her bones still felt weak, and she knew she was not yet as strong physically as she appeared.

At one point, however, Nimra decided that what had happened to her could not become her final destination. She began moving forward, gradually returned to walking and acting, and watched her life slowly become more normal again.

Her story, she explained, was not about suddenly becoming strong but about continuing despite everything she had been through. Looking back, Nimra said she eventually reached a point where she wanted to live life on her own terms rather than remain trapped by the painful memories of her past.

Towards the end of the video, she summed up her message with one powerful word: “Sabr.” She encouraged anyone going through a difficult phase not to lose hope and to trust Allah’s plan, reminding them that a painful period can eventually lead to a new beginning.

Her heartfelt post quickly attracted support from fans and fellow celebrities. Actress Hira Mani, model Rabia Butt and motorcyclist Zenith Irfan were among those who expressed their love and admiration, while several followers described Nimra as a warrior, inspiration and source of motivation.

Some fans also opened up about their own struggles in the comments, saying that Nimra’s story had encouraged them to keep going through their own difficult periods.
