Pakistani actors Danish Taimoor and Anmol Baloch have sparked excitement among drama fans after introducing their characters from the upcoming Geo Entertainment drama Nishtar.
The actors shared their first looks together on Instagram, revealing themselves as Shah Dawood and Barira and giving viewers a glimpse of the much-awaited project.
Taking to Instagram, Danish Taimoor shared a picture with Anmol Baloch and Naeema Butt while revealing the names of their characters. His caption read, “A new story is about to unfold,” followed by the names Barira, Tamseel and Shah Dawood. He also announced that the first teaser would be released at 8pm on Geo, adding to the anticipation around the drama.
Danish’s post introduced Anmol Baloch as Barira, Naeema Butt as Tamseel and himself as Shah Dawood. The character reveal gave fans their first clear look at the central cast while keeping the details of the story under wraps.
Anmol Baloch also shared a picture with Danish Taimoor and introduced their characters in her own post. “Barira & Shah Dawood and so it begins,” she wrote, adding heart and scales emojis before teasing fans with “Coming soon.”
Her caption further highlighted the beginning of their on-screen journey and added to curiosity about the two characters.
The announcement has attracted particular attention because Nishtar marks the first on-screen pairing of Danish Taimoor and Anmol Baloch. Both actors have built strong fan followings through their previous television projects, making their new pairing one of the major talking points surrounding the drama.
Nishtar is written by Maha Malik and directed by Seraj-ul-Haq, with Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi producing the drama under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment for Geo Entertainment. The cast also includes Naeema Butt, Haroon Shahid, Atiqa Odho, Mehmood Aslam, Usman Peerzada, Nida Mumtaz and Faizan Sheikh, among others.
While the makers have kept much of the storyline private, the character reveal has already encouraged viewers to speculate about the relationship between Shah Dawood and Barira.
