Seven members of a family, including three children, fell unconscious after consuming substandard tetrapack juice in the Afzal Kot area within the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station, Muridke, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported.
The victims were identified as Kishwar Sultana (45), Komal Muneer (22), Asifa Muneer (20), Laiba Munir (16), Tahir Munir (18), Amir Munir (14), and Muneer Ahmad (50).
According to the family, the children had purchased the juice from a nearby shop. Shortly after consuming it, all seven experienced severe reactions and lost consciousness.
Rescue 1122 teams promptly arrived at the scene and transported the affected individuals to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) for medical treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the contamination and take appropriate action.
