As Pakistan stands on the threshold of its 16th general election scheduled for February 8, the stage is set for 128 million registered voters to determine the destiny of the world's fifth most populous country.
This was stated by Faisal Butt, the consul general of Liberland for Pakistan in statement issued on Wednesday.
He emphasized the intrinsic beauty of conducting elections in a democratic nation.
In his statement, he underscored that the holding of free and fair elections represents a positive stride towards fostering genuine democracy.
The outcome of these elections will pave the way for the newly elected parliament to address pressing challenges including political and economic instability, corruption, terrorism, illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, overpopulation, energy, and debt crises currently being faced by Pakistan, he remarked.
Discussing the diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Liberland, he expressed a keen interest in establishing a close working relationship with the newly elected government. Liberland, he added, has consistently strived to foster strong diplomatic and business relations with Pakistan.
