Water and Power Development Authority’s (WAPDA) Ayaz Tasawar (57) and Bismillah Khan (48 not out) scored a combined 105 runs as WAPDA managed to score 233 for six after 70 overs at stumps on first day of President’s Trophy Grade-I 2026 Final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday evening.
After being put in to bat first, WAPDA’s opening batter Imran Dogar (38, 55b, 6x4s) and Muhammad Akhlaq (16) gave their side a 50-run opening stand before the latter was dismissed by Aamir Jamal who spearheaded the bowling attack for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) with figures of 19-2-62-3.
Aamir was aided by contributions from Shahnawaz Dahani (20-7–33-2) and tournament’s second-leading wicket-taker Shehzad Gul (15-1-52-1).
For WAPDA, number five batter Ayaz Tasawar scored a 108-ball 57, including five fours while wicketkeeper-batter Bismillah Khan remained unbeaten on 48 off 76 balls including six fours, approaching his 19th first-class half-century.
