Karachi police claimed to have arrested the prime suspect involved in a robbery exceeding Rs108 million following a successful intelligence-led operation in the Ferozabad police jurisdiction, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to police officials, the suspect was apprehended through technical surveillance, CCTV footage analysis, and human intelligence.
The suspect, identified as Talha Waris, son of Muhammad Waris, was allegedly involved in the robbery along with an accomplice near Ghaznfar Ali Khan Road, Saddar.
Police said the suspects had conducted prior reconnaissance before targeting an employee who was transporting cash obtained from the sale of gold.
After snatching the cash, the suspects fled the scene, prompting an investigation by the police.
During the arrest, officers also recovered a pistol reportedly used in the crime.
SSP East confirmed that further interrogation is underway.
