The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are gearing up for a meeting to discuss final seat adjustments ahead of the upcoming elections, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
In this regard, a delegation from MQM is set to visit the central secretariat of PML-N for final talks on various matters related to seat adjustments.
According to sources, the negotiations between the two political entities are scheduled to take place on Monday at 5:00 PM.
Both parties will deliberate on seat adjustments, with the discussion centered around the final verdict on the contested seat in the National Assembly, NA-242.
NA-242 has become the epicenter of political interest, with Mustafa Kamal from MQM and Shahbaz Sharif from PML-N emerging as the primary contenders for the seat.
Likely, the MQM will also offer seat adjustment to the Muslim League-N on the seats of Lyari and Malir, sources said.
The proposed seat adjustments, including MQM's support for PML-N candidates in NA-229, NA-230, and NA-239, and reciprocal gestures, will be on the table.
Both parties, after a united decision to contest the general elections together, are expected to make crucial announcements regarding the future course of action.
