The spread of poliovirus in Pakistan has increased to an alarming level as another child in Pakistan has been infected with the poliovirus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to National Institute of Health, the polio case has been confirmed from Tank and this is the fifth polio case from the district.
The Regional Reference Laboratory established at the National Institute of Health has also confirmed the poliovirus.
The total number of children infected with the poliovirus in Pakistan has reached 69 and out of the 69 polio cases, 27 were from Balochistan, 21 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 19 from Sindh while one polio case each was from Punjab and Islamabad.
