Facing corruption allegations, NICVD CFO resigns

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Faisal Abdul Sattar of renowned cardiac hospital of Karachi, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), on Wednesday tendered his resignation after depositing Rs2.3 million in the hospital’s account, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources said that management of NICVD decided to conduct thorough investigation after news surfaced about financial embezzlement in the hospital.

During the investigation some solid evidence was found which showed involvement of CFO Faisal Abdul Sattar in the financial embezzlement.

After becoming afraid of being nominated in the case, the CFO decided to submit his resignation on priority basis.
