More than 19,500 illegal Afghan nationals have so far been arrested in Islamabad during the ongoing crackdown, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The frackdown against Afghan nationals continued in Islamabad on the instructions of the Ministry of Interior.
According to report, out of total, 9,803 Afghan nationals have been sent back to Afghanistan during the campaign.
About 5,045 men are among those deported while 2,191 women were repatriated under the campaign.
As many as 9545 persons were released after checking.
Islamabad Police also sent 2,567 children back to their homeland.
The Interior Ministry directed the Islamabad administration to intensify further operations.
The rural zone arrested the most Afghan citizens.
