Security personnel deployed on the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s route were found “absent” from duty causing a serious security lapse, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to police sources, new instructions have now been issued to the police officers spared for the security duty.
It has been instructed that from today the route programme along with the mobile number should be shared with the Punjab Chief Minister's pilot.
The route plan should be shared with the police, Mujahid Squad, Traffic, Police and Special Branch officers.
Police officers should check the personnel deployed on route duty one by one.
Photos of the duty points of officers and officials absent from route duty should be made and sent to the CM's office.
