A tragic incident occurred near Qadirabad Thokar in Wazirabad where two young men drowned while bathing in the Chenab River, cutting short what seemed to be a casual summer outing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.
According to eyewitnesses, both youths ventured into deep waters and were swept away by the river’s current before they could be rescued. The victims have been identified as Hasnain and Owais, both residents of Hazrat Kalyanwala area.
Rescue 1122 officials launched an immediate search operation and successfully recovered the bodies after a thorough effort.
