The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has finalized a performance report regarding research, human resources, and commercialization of Pakistani universities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to details, only seven universities out of 95 achieved “W” category. As many as 38 universities gained Y and 43 ranked in X category, while only seven showed low performance.
Air University Islamabad, NUST University Islamabad, NED Karachi, IBA Sukkur, University of Lahore, Agriculture University Faisalabad, and Ziauddin University are among the X category.
Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical College, Bacha Khan University, Charsadda, University of Swat, and Shaheed Benazir University for Women, Peshawar showed lower performance.
In the year 2024-25, 2237 research proposals were submitted, out of which 918 were approved, with a ratio of 41 percent
