The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday released its schedule for summer vacation, which will be observed from July 6 to September 5, 2026, across the principal seat and all benches of the court.
According to the schedule, only urgent cases of a specified nature will be taken up during the vacation period, while applications in general cases will not be received.
The court has announced that vacation judges will hear cases from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 am and 1:30 pm. On Fridays, court working hours will be from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
The High Court stated that hearings on urgent petitions concerning unlawful detention, bail matters and cancellation of FIRs will continue during the vacation. In addition, only urgent cases involving stay orders or threats of serious harm will be entertained.
The schedule states that no miscellaneous application seeking early hearing of any case will be accepted during the vacation period.
The court has also clarified that if a vacation judge is unavailable at any bench, urgent applications may be filed at the principal seat of the Lahore High Court.
