Pakistani media personality Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan has once again found herself at the center of social media attention after making bold statements about character, beauty and personal regrets during a recent appearance on the podcast Jawan-e-Pakistan.
In a candid conversation, Dr. Nabiha spoke confidently about what she believes truly sets a woman apart, emphasizing that character matters far more than physical appearance.
“Aurtain mujh sy zyada khoobsoorat toh ban sakti hain lekin aurtain mery jaisa sharafat jo hain na, jis ke paas aa gayi na, us bechari aurat ka kirdar phir dunya mein bolay ga. Mein kehti hoon ke karo, aisay kaam karo. Agar mery sy takkar leni hai ya hasad karni hai to mery jaisay kirdar par kaam karo. Mery jaisay baal, mery jaisi aankhain, mery jaisay lips aur mery jaisi looks toh kar sakte ho, lekin jis din tum ne mery jaisay kirdar par kaam kar liya, tumhari zindagi sanwar jaye gi,” she stated. (Women may become more beautiful than me, but if they acquire the kind of decency and character I possess, then their character will speak for itself. I always say, work on that. If you want to compete with me or feel jealous of me, then work on developing character like mine. You may copy my hair, my eyes, my lips or my looks, but the day you work on your character the way I have, your life will transform for the better)
The viral clip resurfaced alongside another segment from the same podcast, where Dr. Nabiha was asked about the biggest mistake of her life.
When the host asked, “Koi ek aisi ghalti jis par aap ko bohat regret ho?” (Is there one mistake in your life that you deeply regret?), Dr. Nabiha initially hesitated to answer. The host jokingly suggested that if she refused to reveal it, he would assume it was marriage, prompting her to burst into laughter.
She then replied:
“Mein ny zindagi mein ghaltiyan bohat kam ki hain. Zindagi ki aik hi ghalti ki hai aur wohi bhugat rahi hoon.” (I have made very few mistakes in life. I made only one mistake, and I am still paying the price for it)
She further added: “Ab woh hoga jo dil farmaye ga, baaqi jo hoga dekha jaye ga.” (Now I will do what my heart desires; whatever happens afterward, we'll deal with it)
The remarks quickly gained traction online, with social media users flooding comment sections with both criticism and satire.
