Cancellation and delays in flights become a routine matter for both international and domestic travellers at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport as 18 more flights were cancelled while four delayed due to operational and technical reasons on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The travellers including children and old persons who came from other cities had to face difficulties at the airport but the airlines did not pay attention to their grievances.
The cancelled flights were scheduled to depart for Jeddah, Dubai, Islamabad, Lahore and Multan.
A Serene Air flight ER-822 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to take-off for Jeddah from Karachi.
An Emirates Airlines flight EK-609 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land in Dubai from Karachi.
Two Serene Airlines flights ER-504 and 502 has been cancelled. Earlier these flights were scheduled to from Karachi to Islamabad.
Moreover, another two flights of Serene Air has been cancelled. These flights were scheduled to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) Lahore from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi.
An Air Sial flight PF-145 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to arrive in Lahore from Karachi.
Two other Air Sial flights PA-123 and 125 has been cancelled. These flights were scheduled to land at New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA) from Karachi.
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-304 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to depart from Karachi en-route to Lahore.
Another PIA flight PK-330 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land at Multan airport from Karachi.
A Fly Jinnah flight 9P-670 and 9P-672 has been cancelled. The flights were scheduled to land at Islamabad Airport from Karachi.
Another Fly Jinnah flight 9P-840 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land at Lahore airport from Karachi.
A Fly Jinnah flight 9P-644 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to reach Muscat from Karachi.
A Fly Jinnah flight 9P-865 has been cancelled. The flight was scheduled to take-off for Peshawar from Karachi.
People could not attend important meetings due to not reaching on their destinations timely. Some people miss their appointments with the doctors. Businessmen have to face loss of millions of rupees while some people even could not attend funeral prayers of their near and dear ones. The people have to face much difficulties due to negligence of Civil Aviation.
On one side, airlines are receiving fares according to their will while on the other side passengers have to face difficulties. Passengers have demanded of the administration to rectify their attitude towards the passengers. They have also demanded Civil Aviation to take stringent action in this regard.
