In a scene akin to what is seen in movies, a dacoit, who had snatched a cellphone from a Food Panda bike rider in Sakhi Hassan area of Karachi, on seeing policemen climbed up a flyover and threatened to jump off from it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
When he did not find a way out to escape, he jumped from the flyover, fell on electricity wires, and held on to them firmly hanging in midair.
On seeing the situation, the police arranged a large sheet and spread it so that he could land on it.
However, the dacoit still did not stop showing weird behaviour and instead of jumping, started doing acrobats on the wires.
A large number of people had gathered under the flyover by then, waiting for the suspect to turn himself in to the police.
However, after some time, the dacoit at last jumped from the wires and landed on the sheet.
The police grabbed him and bundled him into a van.
But even in police custody, the suspect did not return the cellphone to its owner.
On seeing this, the bike rider got frustrated and clung to the van as it moved towards the police station.
